Volvo PV653-655
Produced from 1933 to 1935
The Volvo PV653 was part of the PV650 series produced by Volvo between 1929 and 1937. It was the first six-cylinder Volvo car, with a displacement of just over 3 liters and a modest output of 55 bhp. The PV653 and its deluxe counterpart, the PV654, were introduced in 1933. These cars were comfortable, quiet, and rugged, suitable for everyday use. The deluxe version featured plush interiors, twin spare wheels, and a reversing light, available in various colors. Additionally, the PV655 was the chassis version, suitable for custom bodies. Later models, such as the PV658 AND PV659, had a more powerful 6-cylinder engine and distinct appearance with a slighty sloped radiatior and grill.
