Volvo PV53-56
Produced from 1938 to 1935
The Volvo PV53 was introduced in the late 1938 as part of the PV50 series. This generation marked Volvo’s first foray into producing smaller cars in larger volumes. All models in this series shared the same basic body style, featuring an all-steel construction, including the roof. The PV53-56 models had some exterior modifications, including a new hood line and a V-shaped grille. The deluxe versions were the PV55 and PV56, while the standard models were the PV53 and PV54. Notably, the pointed front design of the PV53-56 was later carried over to its successor PV60.
